ATTOCK (Dunya News) – At least two death row convicts and one other prisoner on Tuesday attempted suicide at the lock-up of District Attock Jail.
According to sources, the inmates Mohammad Bilal, Mohammad Haneef and Tariq Mahmood severely injured themselves by cutting their hands with blade.
Jail authorities immediately shifted the suspects to the hospital for medical assistance where the doctors stated that they are out of danger however, proper treatment is underway.
The security personnel have assured that an investigation into the matter has been launched.
It is pertinent to mention here the two of them were sentenced to death for their involvement in terrorism, dacoity, murder and attack on policemen.
