Summary Five terrorists of banned Tehrik-e-Taliban were killed in CTD operation neat By-pass in Bahawalpur.
BAHAWALPUR (Dunya News) – According to sources, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) teams from Multan and Bahawalpur on a tip-off that eight terrorists of banned Tehrik-e-Taliban are present in jungle near Bahawalpur By-pass cordoned off the area on Monday. The terrorists hiding in the jungle hurled hand grenades at the CTD officials and also opened fire.
The raiding party returned the fire as a result five terrorists were killed while three of them managed to escape. Sources said that the dead terrorists are aged between 30 to 50 years and were planning to attach institutions of law enforcement agencies.
Sources further said that two hand grenades, Kalashnikovs and pistols were recovered from the dead terrorists.
