The Major General vowed to safeguard the province while talking to the media after inaugurating a hostel and a school established by the corps in Panjgur.

He termed the newly constructed school a gift to the people of the area from the security force. Initially, around 75 children would be delivered lectures to while capacity would be enhanced soon to accomodate another 100.

Sher Afgan said that security of the people of Balochistan is Frontier Corps priority. He lauded the locals for shattering walls of fear around them by cooperating with the agency against militants. He said that disenchanted locals are being streamlined.

People of Balochistan became guarantors of Chin-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), he added. The FC chief said that the economic corridor is the bright future of Balochistan and Pakistan.

He said that few persons residing abroad want to deprive children of Balochistan of education and progress. Few persons get their children educated from foreign institutions while want to see weapons in hands of those in Balochistan, he added.
