EHT tripping disrupts power supply in Karachi
Ironically, K-Electric's complaint cell is not answering irked locals' calls
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Several grid stations of K-Electric encountered glitches halting power supply to considerable number of areas all through Thursday night, Dunya News reported.
Areas which are still blacked-out include Orangi Town, Mehmoodabad, Gulshan Iqbal, Malir, Sakhi Hassan, Liaquatabad, Lines area and others.
Power supply to Defense Housing Authority (DHA) Phase-V and Clifton Block 7 is also cut.
Ironically, K-Electric’s complaint cell is not answering irked locals’ calls.
However, the company has stated on its website that the power outage is caused by tripping in the Extra High Tension Line which affected different grids.
K-Electric has further stated that supply to most parts has been restored.
