Ch Nisar to hold press conference today after Mustafa Kamal's surprise entry
The Interior Minister is likely to make further revelations after Mustafa Kamal's surprise entry.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan will hold an important press conference in Islamabad today (Saturday), Dunya News reported.
The press conference is being conducted two days after former Karachi nazim and MQM leader Mustafa Kamal made startling revelations against the party leadership.
The Interior Minister is likely to make further revelations after Mustafa Kamal’s surprise entry.
In a blistering attack on Thursday, Mustafa Kamal accused Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain of overseeing an organisation that has turned some activists into “international terrorists”.
Revealing the reasons behind his controversial exit from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), he blamed the party chief Altaf Hussain for ‘deception‘ and poor management of one of the strongest political parties.
He said that, like other members of the MQM, he had tried to prevent Hussain from “being exposed”.
“Initially, he used to be out of [his] senses at night due to excessive drinking, but now he stays intoxicated for days and weeks,” he said.
Kamal said Hussain was often drunk during his long political speeches, which he delivers over the phone from his office in Edgware to crowds of MQM supporters.
He also alleged that Hussain confessed to Scotland Yard detectives, who were investigating the 2010 murder of MQM official Imran Farooq in London, that the party’s leadership had received support from Indian intelligence agency the Research and Analysis Wing (Raw).
“All senior MQM leaders are aware that MQM has been taking funds from India’s Raw for 20 years,” Kamal said.

Mustafa Kamal talked to reporters in Karachi on Thursday as he returned to Pakistan after three years
At one point, the former Karachi mayor broke into tears during the highly theatrical two-hour press conference and even unfurled a Pakistani flag that he said would be the symbol of his new party.
He said that “innocent Urdu-speaking youngsters have been turned into international terrorists”.
Rumours have persistently swirled around Altaf Hussain, but senior members of his party have always avoided even veiled criticism of their leader.
Altaf Hussain maintains firm control over the MQM activists in Karachi, despite living in self-imposed exile in the UK for more than 20 years.
Kamal’s comments have the potential to upturn the political order in Pakistan’s major city.
Commenting on the issue, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and former information minister Qamar Zaman Kaira told Dunya News that MQM has faced accusations of links with RAW in the past as well but no action was taken against it during Musharraf’s rule.
Shah Mehmood Qurehi, the Vice Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), stated that Mustafa Kamal’s accusations are attack on Pakistani state.
He asked why the government is silent on the issue.
