LEJ terrorist reveals group consists of more than 300 suspects

All suspects in the group received weapons training from Afghanistan recently.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Banned outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi’s (LEJ)highly wanted terrorist Rizwan alias Asif Chotu, arrested earlier from Dera Ghazi Khan City of Punjab, made shocking revelations Sunday during interrogation while highlighting the workings of his group. Rizwan stated that his group is based on more than 300 suspects, all of whom received weapons training from Afghanistan.

Sources claim that the highly wanted terrorist was given the task of sabotage due to the ongoing operation in the country against terrorism.
Intelligence officials have started compiling the information on Asif Chotu group while a series of raids for the arrest of the terrorist’s accomplices have also been started.

Rizwan alias Asif Chotu was involved in numerous acts of sabotage throughout the country.

Meanwhile an interrogation with another terrorist of LEJ’s Asif Chotu group, Danish alias Lamba, arrested from Karachi has been completed. 

The suspect has made startling revelations saying he and his accomplices including Shakeel Burmi, Atif Chuha, Waseem Baroodi, Nasir Bahaduri and others had plotted the assassination of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Member of Parliament Assembly (MPA) Manzir Imam and Raza Haider back in 2009.

The suspects had also planned a suicide attack during the funeral of the two MPAs for targeting leaders of political parties.

During the interrogation, the terrorist further revealed that he had fled to Saudi Arabia after his accomplices were apprehended in 2009.

However, the terrorist had returned to Karachi a few months ago for conducting further acts of terrorism.
