Summary Syed Khursheed Shah gave PPP's stance on amendments in NAB ordinance by the govt and consensus issue

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Monday, rejected proposed amendment in NAB ordinance, Dunya News reported.

According to details, PPP rejected possible amendment by the government in NAB ordinance.  Khursheed Shah asserted that people will not accept NAB ordinance even if it was to be written under the shadow of Holy Quran.

Talking to Dunya News outside parliament, Syed Khursheed Shah said that PPP was neither consulted nor contacted regarding amendment in NAB ordinance. He added that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif must understand that this was not the right time for making amendments in NAB laws.

No party could support govt on this occasion and that whichever party will support govt on amendments in NAB ordinances will be called thief by the nation. He also said that consensus and household count should not be postponed.

If three hundred thousand army personnel are not available, then govt should hold consensus in two phases. In first phase consensus, should be held in Sindh and Baluchistan and in Punjab and KP in second phase.
