Three dead, one injured as speeding car rams into electric pole in Peshawar
The bodies have been sent to their native area.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – At least three friends were killed while one sustained severe injuries as speeding car collided with electric power pole near Peshawar’s Pashta Khara, reported on Thursday.
According to details, the incident took place when the passengers were coming back from airport and their car rammed into an electric power pole in Peshawar, killing three while injuring one.
The deceased were identified as Jahangir, Sabghat Ullah and Syed Ameen whereas their Afghan friend Abbas got wounded. The victims were taken to the hospital for further procedure from where the bodies were sent to their native area.
Deadly accidents are common on roads across Pakistan due to bad road infrastructure and rampant disregard of traffic laws.
Over 9,000 road accidents are reported to the police every year, killing on average around 5,000 people, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
