Summary Pakistan's otherwise quiet president urged his fellow countrymen to stay away from Valentine's Day
(Web Desk) - Pakistan’s otherwise quiet President Mamnoon Hussain urged his fellow countrymen to stay away from celebrating Saint Valentine’s Day, stating that it is not only un-Islamic but that the culture of the country is in sharp contrast with it as well.
However, the people of Pakistan seemed to have taken this plea from their dear President rather non-seriously as he became subject to intense mockery and satire by social media activists and various journalists.
Some of the views from the general public regarding the President’s statement made rounds on the internet; at your discretion now to send those chocolates and flowers to bae from now onwards or not, we claim no responsibility.
Let’s begin with Nadeem Paracha’s news of the capture of probable Weapons of Social Destruction (WSD) that could’ve been used at Youm-e-Valentine.

Then we have this supposed theory of how the President might have made his mind to shun Valentine’s Day’s vile practices.
President Mamnoon Hussain woke up from slumber, yelled #SayNoToValentinesDay and went back to sleep. #OnlyInPakistan

Here we have a journalist openly rebelling against the state…

Not only journalists are rebelling, we have sentimental men from the clergy here as well.

Seems as if the authorities in Islamabad were unaware that a party on a sizeable scale was being carried out in Centaurus regarding Valentine’s Day; height of unawareness, no?

And finally, we bring you Faisal Qureshi’s insights about the ominous 14th of February in this six and a half minute long video. Nice roses you got back there, Faisal!
Valentine’s Day is perhaps one of the most controversial and intensely debated topics in Pakistan these days and it is forecasted to remain like that for quite some time or at least till President Mamnoon is upon us.
