4 dead as speeding bus crushes passersby
The enraged persons protested strongly which left one policeman injured
SIALKOT (Dunya News) – A speeding bus on Saturday went out of control and crushed passersby resulting in killing of four and injury of eleven people, Dunya News reported.
According to details, a speeding bus in Rungpura police station jurisdiction that transported factory employees went out of control after its brakes failed and smashed into passers-by on the road.
At least four people died on the spot while eleven persons including two women were critically injured. The accident raged people who started chanting loud slogans.
The police arrived at the scene after which the demonstrators started throwing stones, injuring police official Azam Bajwa.
The injured people have been transported to the Allama Iqbal Memorial Hospital but three of them were rushed to Lahore due to critical condition.
The police have arrested the bus driver.
