Summary Interior Minister says a data bank of all proclaimed offenders throughout Pakistan will be set up
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has on Thursday ordered cancelling the passports and blocking of the National Identity Cards (NIC) of all the proclaimed offenders throughout the country. He said that a data base of all these offenders will be established, reported Dunya News.
According to details, Chaudhry Nisar ordered Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to prepare a central data bank of all the proclaimed offenders and also directed the department to strengthen the cases in all the mega corruption scandals. He also demanded a report on human trafficking cases.
The interior minister was also briefed on Axact scandal, AKD, One Constitution Avenue and Pakistan Currency Exchange Cases. Addressing the meeting, Chaudhry Nisar said that a data bank will be set up of all the proclaimed offenders from all over Pakistan and will be shared with the police, intelligence agencies and FIA offices throughout the country.
On Axact scandal, Chaudhry Nisar was told that the 15 institutions in whose names the degrees were awarded were all fake. Nisar ordered on this occasion that the mega corruption scandals be strengthened with evidence so that the suspects may be sentenced by the courts.
