Govt would stay, Zardari assures CEC

Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has assured his partys Central Executive Committee that no change in the government set-up would take place, Dunya News reported on Thursday. President Zardari chaired the CEC meeting that is being attended by 50 other members including Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani. Sources said the CEC meeting is taking stock of the situation in the wake of the rumours about change is government set-up in the country. Meanwhile, senior PPP leader and Senator Safdar Abbasi has been barred from attending the CEC meeting. Talking to Dunya News, Safdar Abbasi said that PPP is not a property of anyone. Its BBs party, its workers party, a disgruntled Safdar Abbasi maintained.
