Summary Health reforms in KP were geared toward improvement in public hospitals: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan said on Wednesday that they are making reforms in management, not privatising the hospitals, reported Dunya News.

Answering a question about doctors’ strike in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Imran said that the government is only implementing the orders of the Peshawar High court. He said that health reforms in KP were geared towards improvement in public hospitals where majority of poor patients come for treatment. He added, “our objective is to reform the healthcare system in KP and we are determined.”

Imran Khan said that they will make government hospitals comparable to private hospitals.

Talking about China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Imran Khan said that the CPEC would not only open the doors of development for under developed areas but also fate of region will be changed.
