Seventh chapter of Karachi Literature Festival underway

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Seventh installment of the three-day-long Karachi Literature Festival (KLF) started on Friday where more than 250 speakers from different parts of the world are taking part.
Music and art performances marked the inaugural ceremony of the festival held at a local hotel. Ameena Saiyid, founder and director of the KLF delivered the welcome address at the event. More than 300 sittings will be arranged through the three-day time period.
The festival will also mark launch of as many as 21 new books. British High Commission (HC) has dubbed the literary event as hope pertaining to revival of peace in Karachi.
The festival which was launched in 2010 brings together writers from all over the globe.
However, the government is required to take steps to ensure provision of education to 55 lac children in the country who do not have access.
