Early marriages and malnutrition are reasons behind the deaths of children in Thar: Shehla Raza
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Dying children of Thar could not affect the pleasant mood of Sindh Assembly members during the session on Friday, reported Dunya News.
According to the details, opposition strongly criticized Sindh government over Thar issue during today’s session of Sindh Assembly, saying that Government is constantly stating ‘All is well’ on Thar matter, but Thar issue is active on social media. But despite all the criticism, Speaker Assembly kept exchanging smiles with his old friends instead of paying attention to the serious issue.
Agha Siraj Durrani chaired Sindh Assembly session, during which Opposition members criticized the government over Thar situation. As MQM leader Irum Farooqi suggested working along with Non Government Organisation (NGO) in Thar, good humoured Speaker of Sindh Assembly advised her to take a car on rent with her.
Meanwhile, PPP members said that the matter was being politicized. Deputy Speaker Shehla Raza said that early marriages and malnutrition are reason behind the deaths of children in Thar. Though the session was specially called for Thar issue, postponing discussion on many important issues, only 37 members appeared in the House.
