Punjab extends two-day weekend

The Punjab government on Friday issued a notification to extend two-day weekend for government employees. The decision to extend the weekend came to meet the energy crisis at the provincial level. Earlier, the Federal government issued a notification regarding two-day offs in the beginning of summer to meet the energy consumption load. So far, the Punjab government has issued three notifications: first on July 31, second on August 31 and third till September 12. Todays notification extended the offs till the next orders in this respect.
