Summary Asif did not come for meeting despite being informed through written letter: Raza Rabbani

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani barred the defence minister Khawaja Asif from attending the current session of the senate on Thursday because of his absence from the Upper House, reported Dunya News.

According to details, the defence minister was absent from the meeting of senate on which Raza Rabbani lost his temper and barred Khawaja Asif from attending the senate’s current session. He said that they had to finish the discussion on Army Chief’s Afghanistan visit but Asif did not come for meeting despite being informed through written letter. Abid Sher Ali also got scolded by the chairman senate as he tried to give an explanation about Asif’s absence.

Raza Rabbani said that he cannot start discussion in absence of the defence minister neither he can stay silent on the insult of the Upper House.
