Governor Gilgit Baltistan Shama Khalid passes away

Governor Gilgit Baltistan Shama Khalid passes away. Ms Khalid was suffering from cancer and was admitted to a hospital in Islamabad for treatment.Dr Shama Khalid took oath as Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan on 23rd March 2010 and became the first ever woman in the countrys history to assume governorship of a province. Dr Shama was a leading social worker who voluntarily worked in different parts of GB and served the cause of anity by setting up free summer medical camps every year.CM G-B Mehdi Shah has expressed grief over her demise.
