Summary Repair work should have been completed by 1pm today but the process is still going on near Drug Road
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Repair work on Faisal Avenue should have been over by 1pm today (Sunday) but the deadline was missed and the traffic is still facing the trouble at Drug Road where the repair work continues, reported Dunya News.
According to details, one of the tracks on the road is closed for the traffic, obstructing the flow and creating problems for the citizens. On the other hand, the road sunk in at Tipu Sultan Chorangi has been repaired but a hole has been left open on the road.
The repair work of the railway track on Drug Road started at 12 midnight last night and one track on Faisal Avenue was thus closed for the traffic. According to traffic police, the road will be opened for the traffic completing the repair work as soon as possible.
However, cricket lovers have turned the closed track of the road into a playground.
On the other hand, Water Board did something extraordinary at Tipu Sultan Chorangi where a suck road was repaired and opened for the traffic but a hold was left open on the main road. Water Board officials say that the hold will be covered on Monday.
Citizens said that the administration should complete the repair work on the busy highways at the earliest so that it doesn’t create problems for the people.
