Summary ECP announced that local body representatives elected in the 2nd round will take oath on Thursday
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has on Sunday announced that the local body representatives who were elected in the 2nd round of the elections will be taking oath on Thursday, reported Dunya News.
In a declaration issued today, ECP has stated that the local body representatives elected in the second round of the elections in Punjab and Sindh will take the oath on Thursday. It stated that the ECP will announce the schedule for the elections on the special seats after the oath-taking ceremony.
ECP further stated that the provincial government has to release the notification about the number of special seats in Sindh. The declaration said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) criticism of the ECP in this regard is thus unwarranted.
