Summary Moushumi Rahman was a political counsellor and the head of chancery in Bangladesh consulate.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - The Bangladeshi diplomat, expelled yesterday from Pakistan for alleged involvement in anti-state activities, left for home today (Thursday), Dunya News reported.

Moushumi Rahman, a political counsellor and the head of chancery in Bangladesh consulate, was ordered to leave Pakistan within 48 hours.

It is worth mentioning here that Bangladesh has also deported Pakistan’s diplomat Fareena Arshad on 23 December, 2015 after declaring her persona non grata that is a diplomatic term for an undesirable person.

Relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan have soured lately after Islamabad strongly protested against the November execution of two opposition leaders for war crimes during the 1971 independence conflict with Pakistan.
