Summary Alamgir had spray-painted CM Sindh's photo on ground and demanded to fix the open manholes
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Tuesday took notice of citizen Alamgir’s protest and ordered Karachi Administrator to fix the open manholes, Dunya News reported.
According to details, Shah called the administrator and reprimanded him over the open manholes. Instructing him to immediately fix them, the CM Sindh asked if it was his responsibility to personally go and fix the manholes.
The unusual kind of protest where a citizen Alamgir – also a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker – spray-painted CM Sindh’s photo on ground near the open manholes along with the demand “fix it” led the CM Sindh to immediately pay attention.
The offline protests often go unnoticed but the power of social media led the high ups’ attention to one of the core issues of the largest metropolitan.
In the video that went viral, Alamgir had said he’d adopt similar kind of protest wherever he sees the problem in the city.
