Summary CDA stopped operation as angry traders engaged in a brawl with workers, threw stones on vehicles
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Sector G-10 market of Islamabad turned into the war zone on Friday as the City Development Authority (CDA) started an operation against encroachments, reported Dunya News.
According to the details, the shopkeepers of the area started throwing stones on the team of CDA as they started the operation against encroachments in G- 10 Market. The stones thrown by the protestors broke the windows of CDA vehicles and soon after that the angry shopkeepers engaged in a brawl with CDA workers. Police and magistrate reached the scene but none could control the angry protestors, as a result CDA had to stop the operation. Talking to media, the traders said that they were not given any pre-operation notice from CDA and the operation started without any warning.
