Summary
The flood continues to wreak havoc in Sindh, as after deluging the bypass of Dadus tehsil Mehar the torrent is heading towards Mehar city and is currently a kilometer away from it, Dunya News reported on Monday. The flooding in District Dadu has worst affected Mehar, Khairpur Nathan Shah and Juhi. The effort fizzled out to deviate the torrent of floodwater pouring out from Suprio Bund breach to Khairpur Nathan Shah by effecting a breach in Mehar Drain to save the city inundation. The high tide has inundated bypass and is roaring towards Mehar city. The residents are persistently relocating to safer places in view of imminent threat of deluge. The people are using link road leading to Moenjo Daro Airport, as National Highway between Khairpur Nathan Shah, Mehar and Naseerabad was submerged underwater. Also, Dadu-Juhi and Bhan Saeedabad-Juhi roads have sunk under water, cutting off the ground links of Juhi. MNV Drain breach has besieged Juhi from three sides, with citizens forced to evacuate through Kachhus mountainous areas, as all pathways have been blocked down under water.
