Summary Nisar Durrani has been named the new prosecutor on the place of Mushtaq Jahangeeri.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Special public prosecutor in Dr Asim case was changed on Sunday, 24 hours before the hearing.
Nisar Durrani has been named the new prosecutor on the place of Mushtaq Jahangeeri.
However; Sindh Prosecutor General Shahadat Awan has said that he has no information regarding the replacement.
The final challan of the Dr Asim case has been prepared and will be submitted in the court tomorrow by the investigating officer.
According to sources, it has been stated in the challan that no proofs have been found against Dr Asim’s involvement in terrorism activities.
While talking to Dunya News, the newly selected prosecutor Nisar Durrani said that he was called in the prosecution department last night where he was told about the appointment.
He said that he has received the file but has not yet read it whereas he will present before the court tomorrow as he will Karachi tomorrow from Hyderabad.
Nisar Durrani also confirmed that he has not received the notification regarding the appointment.
On the other hand, Mushtaq Jahangeeri could not contacted as his phone has been switched off.
