Summary Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan addressed the National Assembly on Thursday.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Thursday said that terrorists are on the run but they are still looking for weak points to carry out their acts of terrorism, Dunya News reported.
“Terrorists have been marginalised, but the war is not over yet," he told the National Assembly.
Speaking on a motion to discuss the performance of the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control in the National Assembly, the Minister said that over 25,000 intelligence reports were shared with the provincial governments, law enforcement agencies and the military.

He said as a result of massive interaction among the ministry of interior, law enforcement agencies, provincial governments and the military, terrorists are on the run but they are still looking for weak points to carry out attacks.
He said: "Intelligence agencies played a vital role in nipping terrorists‘ plots in the bud.”
Briefing the assembly, Nisar said that the ministry did not have computerised records before, a situation that he has rectified after assuming charge of the Federal Ministry of Interior.
"There were no records before for arms licenses or visas, and some records for arms licenses were burnt in a fire, about which I have serious reservations," he said.
"The main issue faced by Pakistan is lack of human resource,” he said.
If we fire an official, for corruption or other offenses, at times we do not have a replacement, he stated.
“Civil service used to be backbone of this country, it has degenerated,” Ch Nisar told the House.
Giving his views on action against corrupt officials, the Minister said that 64 officials from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) were fired for being corrupt.
