ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khurshid Shah on Saturday lashed out at Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar by saying they aren’t wearing bangles if the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) wants to politick again, Dunya News reported.

Responding to Nisar’s criticism, Shah said PML-N is welcome if it wants to start politicking again.

Hinting at Dr Asim, Nisar had told the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) led Sindh government not to make the Karachi operation controversial over one individual.

Earlier, Sindh Information Adviser Moula Bakhsh Chandio on Saturday told Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar not to threaten or scare the Sindh government of consequences.

In a verbal battle over Rangers power, the federation and Sindh government have been on a collision course. Chandio said Nisar should release if he has any video evidence, adding that the Karachi operation will continue until elimination of the last terrorist.

He said Nisar is only looking at his party’s interests, adding that the latter should ‘be careful’ over the issue of Rangers’ powers.

Chandio said the issue of Rangers’ powers will be resolved by Monday. He said Nisar is only looking at the interests of his party and that should be careful over Rangers’ powers.

He said the Karachi operation will continue and with the consent of the Sindh government.

According to details, the federation and the Sindh government have come on a confrontation course over the matter of Rangers’ authority with regards to the ongoing Karachi operation against the criminal elements.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Chandio complained that the institutions that don’t even have the jurisdiction are interfering in the provincial matters. He said it was the Sindh government that had called the Rangers for the operation.

The Sindh adviser said the Sindh government is neither against the operation nor against Rangers. He said the operation in Karachi will continue and with the consent of the provincial government.

Chandio also said that conditions in Karachi improved because of joint efforts between the police and Rangers, adding that they don’t want to affect the results.

Federal Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar has said that Karachi operation is being detracked. He said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) should not make Karachi operation controversial over one person.

Talking at a press conference, Chaudhary Nisar said that Karachi operation began on the request of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) while Farooq Sattar had said himself that Karachi should be handed over to Army. Citing Army’s commitments in war against terror, Nisar said that Pakistan Army cannot be made to stand in the streets of Karachi.

Nisar said that all parties had been taken on board at the beginning of operation. He said that federal government has never taken credit of Karachi operation. The federal minister said that it had provided support to provincial government and Rangers in its own jurisdiction.

Hailing Karachi operation as a success, Chaudhary Nisar said that the state of the city in June 2013 and the present speaks volumes of the ongoing operation. He said that for the past two weeks, it has been seen that Karachi operation is being detracked while Rangers is being marginalized in statements for the past 3 days.
