Sialkot lynching: 8 policemen to be presented in court

Eight policemen, arrested in connection with the Sialkot lynching case are expected to be presented before court today (August 31), however the authorities have taken no action against former DPO Waqar Chohan. Attempts are also being made to save the policemen. The accused policemen have been charged under section 102 instead of the conventional 302. Only 8 of the 13 policemen have been kept in custody. The reaming five policemen including the SHO are at large. It is pertinent to mention that the name of the DPO Waqar Chohan is not included in the list.
