LAHORE (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday has halted Lahore High Court’s (LHC) decision to stop charging additional surcharge on electricity bills.
The Supreme Court has ordered the authorities to receive dues in installments.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Saqib Nisar held hearing of the case. The court nullified LHC’s decision and ordered to charge the customers. The court will consolidate and hear all the petitions challenging the LHC’s verdict.
The hearing was adjourned until February’s second week.
