Nawaz, COAS review agenda of Heart of Asia Conference
A meeting was held today at the Prime Minister House
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday held a one-on-one meeting to discuss Operation Zarb-e-Azb while a high-level meeting reviewed agenda of Heart of Asia Conference.
The leaders lauded the success of Zarb-e-Azb while discussed matter of punishment of terrorists. The meeting reviewed the security situation of the country also.
The meeting held in the PM House was attended by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Special Assistant to the PM on National Security (NSA) Sartaj Aziz, Assistant on National Security Lt General (r) Nasir Janjua, Tariq Fatemi among several notable personalities.
The military and civil leadership of the country agreed to continue operation against terrorists at all cost. The leaders also discussed forthcoming visit of Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani.

On December 7, General Sharif had said that Karachi’s security has improved as result of countless sacrifices and turning back cannot be permitted now.
He said that Karachi operation will continue indiscriminately and apolitically. He said Karachi’s security situation has improved considerably.
General Sharif said that this operation is against terrorists and those who support and finance it. He said the provincial and federal governments have to increase cooperation in the operation for it to succeed.
