KARACHI (Dunya News) – Investigation officers in cases involving operatives of gang war, Islamic State (IS) and other banned outfits have written a letter to Sindh Police to inform about threats to their lives.
Investigation officers in key cases that are likely to give breakthrough to Pakistani law enforcers in war on terror are living lives under serious threats. Different agencies have taken crime in Karachi with iron hands in the recent past.
Several cases have been launched against criminals involving influential people in the province. Government officials among political party’s leaders have been alleged of China-cutting, terrorism sponsorship and target killings.
The letter states that key investigators of the case lack appropriate security. The letter has been dispatched by Rana Lateef, Waseem Shah and Shahzad Ali.
The Sindh Police have also been informed that at least two witnesses of Sabeen Mehmud murder case were killed. The officials have expressed reservations over their security against suspected attacks coordinated by Daesh and other organised networks.
