RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Atleast five people in Rawalpindi sustained minor injuries on Friday when fire erupted in a plaza located near Khanna Bridge.

The incident occurred early morning when fire broke out in the basement of the plaza where a large stock of wood and plyboard was placed.

The fire flared up swiftly due to the material present inside the rooms and also engulfed other shops.

Fire brigade controlled the blaze after a hectic effort of three hours however; five people residing in the upper storey of the plaza were injured slightly.

On the other hand in Naseerabad, fire kindled in a commercial plaza due to short circuit and reduced all the valuables present in ten shops to ashes.

The inferno was put down after three hours by the rescue officials however; no life loss has been reported yet.
