Summary The ongoing polling is badly affecting the medical process in the hospitals.
KHAIRPUR (Dunya News) – The level of mismanagement was observed in Sindh’s Khairpur when Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) formed polling stations inside hospitals for second phase of local bodies elections.
The locals are visiting hospitals for casting their votes instead of treatment in both Punjab and Sindh provinces.
The situation has been seen worst in Punjab’s Gujranwala as the district government established polling stations in veterinary hospitals where on one hand, the doctors are curing animals while on the other hand, electoral staffers are guiding humans about polling.
Several electoral stamps were recovered from fields in various areas of Punjab and Sindh, a day before the elections which again notifies the irresponsibility of concerning officers.
Meanwhile, polling is underway in 12 districts of Punjab and 14 districts of Sindh.
In the second phase of LB elections, polling is being held in Punjab’s Sargodha, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Attock, Jhelum, Mianwali, Chiniot, Toba Tek Singh, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sheikhupura and Khanewal districts.
In Sindh, polling is being held in Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Matiari, Dadu, Jamshoro, Badin, Thatta, Sajawal, Shaheed Benazirabad, Nausharo Feroz, Mirpur Khas, Umerkot and Tharparkar while the polling in Sanghar district has been postponed due to security reasons.
