Summary Rangers and police arrested 29 target-killers and extortionists in various operations in Karachi

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Rangers and police on Tuesday arrested 29 target-killers and extortionists in various operations in Karachi, reported Dunya News.

According to details, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested a target-killer in Site area and found weapons with him. In-charge CTD Mazhar Mashwani told that the arrested target-killer has confessed killing 7 including Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) workers.

In an operation in Golimar, Rangers arrested a suspected target-killer alleged of having killed 17. The suspect belongs to Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP). Rangers’ spokesperson told that the arrested suspect has also confessed killing 6 police officials. He also named 6 more people who were on his hit-list.

Suspect named Zaheer Ahmad aka Peyala (Bowl), has been handed over to Rangers on 90-day remand.

On the other hand, Rangers arrested 27 suspects from various areas of the city. According to Rangers’ spokesperson, the suspects also include extortionists belonging to a political party. Weapons have also been found with the suspects.
