Summary Ayaz Sadiq's win would mark democracy's supremacy, says Hamza
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Hamza Shahbaz on Monday has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan must accept defeat now and let the government fulfill promises made to the people.
He criticised Khan while talking to the media outside the Parliament.
Shahbaz was confident that today would not mark Ayaz Sadiq’s win in National Assembly (NA) Speaker election but democracy’s supremacy. He said that snap election is always a “bitter pill” for the government.
It is a big day for democracy of the country, he added.
He said that PTI leader wasted time in sit-ins and protests for no real cause. He urged Khan to work harder and let the government be so that it could fulfill its promises made to the nation.
Earlier on November 4, Shahbaz held a meeting with Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) and discussed gas connections ban matter. Shahbaz assured the dejected association of taking every possible step tol lift ban on provision of gas connections to housing schemes and high rise buildings.
He said that after agriculture, construction sector is the second largest in the country and the government would not take it lightly. He endorsed the ruling party s approach to strengthen economy.
