PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on November 12 for allegedly trying to put undue influence on doctors’ case, Dunya News reported.

According to details, a two-member bench of the Peshawar High Court comprising Justice Seth Waqar Ahmed Khan and Justice Younas Taheem heard the writ filed by doctors and paramedics over appointment of board of governors and transfers in Peshawar’s hospitals.

The lawyer representing the doctors, Mian Mohibullah submitted that Imran Khan is trying to influence the case through his press conference. He said the case is subjudice and therefore should not be discussed on media.

The bench summoned PTI chief for next hearing due on November 12.

Journalists have announced to demonstrate a protest outside Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) House on Thursday against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s alleged defamatory attitude.

Khyber Union of Journalists and Peshawar Press Club have given the protest call. Journalists will gather at the press club at around 12pm today. A protest march will be carried out from the club to the CM House.

It should be mentioned here earlier in a press conference in Peshawar, Khan had used harsh words against a journalist who posed a question about his separation with Reham. Before the conference, Khan had asked the media outlets to respect his personal life and decisions.

The leaders of the Peshawar journalist community have said that they would announced their next strategy after the protest.
