Summary Management panicked as citizens arrive at Nazimabad, Clifton branches for driving license
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Police baton-charged the driving license applicants at the Clifton and Nazimabad offices of the department as large number of citizens took to the offices for getting their licenses made. Management panicked at such massive turnout of applicants, closed the doors of the offices and police baton-charged the applicants. The deadline for license was also extended by one month, reported Dunya News.
Citizens of Karachi were ready to get their licenses made but the traffic police didn’t seem ready this time. However, many people who had taken an off from their workplaces just to apply for the license and they jumped the walls to enter the offices. To control the situation, police officials baton-charged the applicants.
The applicants said that nobody was there to guide them. Some of them even complained about being asked for bribe.
Same was the case with Clifton branch where long queues were observed in the office. Provincial Home Minister extended the deadline of the license by one month.
