FAISLABAD (Dunya News) – Leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Mayor Group Chaudhary Sher Ali has announced a rally inspite of bans enforced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and authorities. He will hold a political rally on Thursday, reported Dunya News.

Chaudhary Sher Ali has announced a rally on 29th of October after the recent split of factions of PML-N. ECP has stopped Sher Ali from holding rallies citing the act as violation of code of conduct while issuing directives to DCO office to stop the rally.

Sher Ali group has argued that the rally is not being held due to local body elections rather it is a PML-N workers convention which will be addressed by local Members of Provincial Assembly (MPAs) and party position holders. The group has further argued that no ban has been placed on political gatherings.

It is pertinent to mention here that Chairman PTI Imran Khan also tried to hold a rally in Dhobi Ghat ground on October 28, which was canceled due to the earthquake.
