Summary Cellular service was barred in 68 districts of country on occasion of Ashura

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Cellular service that was barred in 68 districts on the occasion of Ashura on Saturday, has been restored in most parts of the country now, reported Dunya News.

The service was barred for security reasons as there were security threats about the processions of Ashura. The service remained barred whole day and is restored now with exception of some sensitive areas like Karbala Gamay Shah area of Lahore and some areas of Karachi.

The areas where cellular service has been fully restored include Bagh AJK, Arifwala, Sharaqpur, Sahiwal, Gambat, Muzaffar Garh, Jatoi, Ali Pur, Jehlum, Bahawalpud, Quetta, Jahanian, Multan, Kot Adu and the surroundings. The service has also been restored in Mian Chuunu, Arifwala, Jhang, Peshawar, Rahim Yar Khan, Sharaqpur, Pind Eidain, Gambat, Sahiwal and Uch Sharif.
