Need for effective coordination at Af-Pak border: Army Chief

He commended Frontier Corps performance in ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Army Chief General Raheel Sharif said on Tuesday that better coordination is needed at Afganistan-Pakistan border. He said that armed forces of the country the nation has infallible faith in the armed forces of the country adding that the armed forces will perform well up to nation’s expectation. He commended Frontier Corps (FC) performance in ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb, reported Dunya News.

Army Chief General Raheel Sharif visited FC Headquarters in Peshawar. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Raheel Sharif inspected FC’s manpower and equipment to increase the capability of the outfit.

Chief of Army Staff stressed for improved coordination at Afghanistan-Pakistan border and said that such measures are important for the peace and stability of the region.

 

Underscoring the masses trust in the army, General Raheel said that the nation has unshakable trust in army and views its sacrifices with respect. He said that he is proud to be a defender of the country and will try to live up to expectations of the nation.

 

Praising bravery, success and sacrifices of FC in Operation Zarb-e-Azb, General Raheel Sharif said that FC served as the backbone of during the operation.  General Raheel Sharif assured of merit in recruitment of FC and said that only through the effective training could FC become a capable organization.
