Summary A terrorist named Israel has been caught posing as spokesperson of Al-Qaeda

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Officials of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested a terrorist named ‘Israel’ who had posed as Spokesperson of terrorist organization Al-Qaeda and provided false details of Badabir airbase attack. Another terrorist has been apprehended from Malakand as well, reported Dunya News on Monday.

The terrorist named Israel sent out an SMS to Interior Ministry and posing as a spokesperson for Al-Qaeda, he sent false details regarding Badabir airbase attack. As per officials, the terrorist wanted to change the direction of investigation by providing false details.
 

Caught at airport

Earlier, CTD of Malakand region arrested a suspected terrorist at Peshawar airport who is allegedly involved in attack on police check post in Shamozai, Swat in 2009.

The CTD had received a tip-off that suspected terrorist Aziz is travelling to Peshawar from Saudia Arabia. Reportedly, he had moved to KSA during operation Rah-e-Rast in Swat.


 

Aziz has been shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation.

Authorities have intensified operation against local and foreign militant groups in the tribal areas near Afghan border after December 16 Taliban attack on Army Public School in Peshawar that claimed lives of more than 130 schoolchildren.

So far, more than three thousand terrorists have been killed in ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan Agency.
