Summary Officials of police and revenue department have been declared guilty in the case.

MULTAN (Dunya News) – A report pertaining to Shahbaz self-immolation case has been forwarded to Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shahbaz Sharif today (Saturday).

According to the finalized report, officials of police and revenue department have been declared guilty in the case as the investigation officer sub-inspector of Sadar police station, naib tehsildar and revenue officer gave the possession of disputed land to the opposition party after taking bribe.

The security personnel did not launch investigation against the suspects despite several complaints of Shahbaz, locals told.

Disheartened Shahbaz in protest doused kerosene oil and set himself ablaze on October 11 outside the Multan press club, sustaining burns on 90 percent part of his body. The sufferer was shifted to the burn unit in Nishtar Hospital for medication where he succumbed to injuries a day after the incident.

CM Shahbaz expressed sympathies condolence over the sad mishap and raged over the authorities, directing them to submit report as early as possible. He said that the accusation of general masses should be redressed in the concerning police stations.

While visiting the houses of victims, he pledged to ensure justice to the families of Shahbaz and Sonia, who committed suicides in two separate incidents in Multan and Muzaffargarh apiece. CM Punjab further assured that he had ordered an inquiry into the incident and stern action would be taken against those, who drove the victim to commit suicide.

Shahbaz Sharif also expressed serious concern over the growing incidents of self-immolation after failure to get justice.
