QUETTA (Dunya News/ Agencies) – Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan on Monday raided Pak-Afghan border area Chaghi and recovered weapons hidden underground.

According to details, the operation was conducted in Baramcha area of Chaghi.

The seized weapons included 10 sub-machine guns (SMGs), 13 rocket-propelled grenade-7 (RPG) rockets and 40 boxes of 12.7mm ammunition.

No arrest has been made so far.

The Pakistani military has vowed to crush the insurgency and assured China of security for a planned China-Pakistan economic corridor from the Baluchistan port of Gwadar up to the Chinese border in northern Pakistan.

Pakistani security forces have been battling militants for over a decade following the late 2001 US-led invasion of Afghanistan.

Officials say more than 3,000 militants have been killed since the launch of the latest offensive in tribal areas of Pakistan.
