Allama Iqbal's son Justice (r) Javed Iqbal passes away at 91
Justice (r) Javed Iqbal was former Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court.
LAHORE (Web Desk) - Justice (r) Javed Iqbal, the son of philosopher-poet Allama Mohammad Iqbal, passed away in Lahore on Saturday after protracted illness.
Justice (r) Javed Iqbal, 91, was under treatment for cancer at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital in Lahore.
His funeral prayer will be offered at 4:00pm in Lahore today.

Javed Iqbal has authored various books on Pakistan s nationalism, movement and political ideology of Pakistan. Apart from philosophy, he had a prolific career in Judiciary of Pakistan and was a former Chief Justice of Lahore High Court before elevating to Supreme Court.
He was born in Sialkot on 5 October 1924 to Allama Muhammad Iqbal and his second wife, Sardar Begum. His mother died when he was 11, and his father died when he was 14.
