In a bid to save flood waters from reaching to Pak Arab Refinery (Parco), the Super bank on Indus river has been demolished by the local administration. Road link between Punjab and Dera Ghazi Khan was broken down after traffic was suspended on Multan Road due to flood water.According to sources, the Indus River bank was broken to avert the flood waters reaching the refinery. The torrents from Wadoor hill have inundated roads, suspending traffic on Multan road. Trucks carrying relief goods to the affected area were also stuck.In Muzaffargarh, the Indus flood and breaches in the Muzaffargarh canal continued to devastate vast areas of Kot Addu and Alipur tehsils, rendering more people homeless and forcing them to spend the night in the open amid rains that continued throughout the day. Four killed as rescue boat capsizes in Jampur Four people were killed when a boat carrying flood-affected people to relief camps capsized in Jampur River. The accident occurred near Muhammadi Rawal area.The dead bodies of two victims were recovered, while as many as 21 people were saved. Eight passengers were injured, while three women were still missing. Two boats of Rescue 1122 were sent for relief and rescue operation.
