At least five more people were gunned down in different incidents of targeted killings, as violence continued bringing the death toll to 97 since Monday.The violence was sparked with the killing of Muttahida Qaumi Movement MPA Raza Haider in a mosque, on Monday evening. His death triggered violence across the major towns of Karachi. Incidents of firing and arson were reported from parts of the city including Mangoho, Pir Noor Muhammad Ghota, Orangi Town, Site and Banaras. Political activist dead body was recovered from Mazhar Alam. ASI Noorul Hassan was gunned down while constable Mehboob was injured near Korangi crossing. A bus was set ablaze by miscreants. In another incident, Aftab Khan was shot dead near Qasba Colony. Police and Rangers have apprehended as many as 12 suspected terrorists from different parts of the city.It is pertinent to mention that despite a military operation looming in the anarchy-ridden Karachi; however life started returning to normalcy.
