SC's Karachi Registry rejects police report on killings of lawyers
The report presented today states that at least 42 lawyers have been killed in Karachi
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan Karachi Registry on Wednesday has rejected Sindh Police’s report regarding target killings of lawyers.
A two-member bench formed of Justice Amir Hani Muslim and Justice Gulzar Ahmed held hearing of the case.
Police’s law officer put forth a report compiled in matter of lawyers’ target killings. The court ordered authorities to file a comprehensive report of the matter in next hearing. The SC ordered police to mention in the report the number of challans presented, total number of murderers caught and other details.
The report presented today states that at least 42 lawyers have been killed in Karachi. As many as ten cases were termed A class. At least two culprits have been jailed so far.
