LAHORE (Dunya News) – Government of Punjab on Saturday has decided to issue an ordinance over fee issue of private schools.
Law ministry has prepared the ordinance and has sent it to the government whereas Governor Punjab Rafique Rajwana has also signed it.
The government has also decided to conduct an ordinance crackdown regarding the fee issue from Monday.
For this purpose three teams for Lahore, two for large districts and one each for other remaining districts have been formed to ensure the implementation of the ordinance.
It has been decided in the ordinance to freeze the old fee criteria for the year 2014/2015 while the schools will also be not able to make an increase in the fee money.

Besides this the ordinance also states that those schools that have already made an addition in the fee will be liable to adjust it in next month charges.
However; those who will breach the ordinance will have to pay a fine upto Rs10,000 to 25,000. Besides this if the violation of rules is done for thirty days the challan will be sent to the court.
Under the ordinance, non-registered private schools have to register themselves in 45 days otherwise the owner or incharge will be arrested.
