Islamabad's new airport to be completed by October 2016
It will be the first airport to support landing of the biggest aircraft, Airbus A-380
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Fateh Jang’s new airport, that cost at least Rs 90 billion will reportedly complete in October 2016.
An estimate suggests that the airport will serve as many as 90 lac people annually. The airport has entered the last leg of construction as at least 85 percent of the work has completed. The new airport, situated near Fateh Jang will have two runways while it will support boarding in at least 15 aircrafts simultaneously.
A four-storey airport terminal, huge parking capacity, at least 108 check-in counters among other facilities will be available.
This is going to be the first airport in Pakistan where the biggest passenger aircraft Airbus A-380 could land. Latest landing system will allow planes to land in harsh weather and dense fog. The airport is build on at least 3,289 acres land which will be connected with twin cities.
Fateh Jang is a tehsil of Attock district which is located at least 30 Kilometres (Kms) southwest of the federal capital.
