Karachi: Jinnah Hospital, NICH paramedics continue strike on second day
Patients and their relatives faced severe difficulties due to the closure of OPDs.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Paramedical staff of Jinnah Hospital and National Institute of Child Health (NICH) in Karachi has continued strike for health allowance on second day.
The strike was observed on the appeal of Jinnah hospital and NICH paramedical staff’s joint action committee.
Patients and their relatives faced severe difficulties due to the closure of Outdoor Patient Departments (OPDs) as more than 70 operations were postponed due to the act.
According to details, an unsuccessful negotiation between the officials of health department and protesting staff was also taken place on Monday evening.
The protesters were of the view that they are not being provided with health allowance for a long time period however, if their demands are not fulfilled they will go for a further action plan.
